Students from our Intensive English Class travelled to Sydney on the 18th October to participate in the Youth Capoeira Angola Encounter. This very special event brought together around 150 student participants of Project Bantu from 21 schools across NSW, as well as volunteers, teachers and visiting International Capoeira Masters.
Students experienced Afro Brazilian Music and Dance, with a number of our students invited to play instruments for the large hoda circle. A very proud Neema was also given the opportunity to show her skills with one of the visiting international Masters.
A big thank you to STARTTS and Project Bantu, as well as our wonderful EALD staff for making this opportunity possible.
