As you are aware NW is experiencing catastrophic fire conditions and many Department of Education schools have been affected.
As this stage Callaghan College Waratah Campus will be open tomorrow. If the situation changes the updated list of schools that are non-operational can be found at https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/school-safety
Parents and Carers are advised to keep up to date about bush fire conditions in their local area. The NSW Rural Fire Service Fires Near Me Ap is a great way to get information. If you believe your local conditions make it usafe to send your child to school please make an informed decision and follow your own bush fire safety plan.
Smoke continues to pose respiratory problems for our students during this time. Students who may experience breathing difficulties or asthma will be advised to spend break times in the library and all outdoor sport will be moved to an indoor venue. Please ensure that all asthma suffers have their puffer with them at all times while travelling to and from school and while at school.
