Safer Internet Day - Tuesday 11th February 2020.
On Safer Internet Day, millions of people around the world unite to raise awareness about online safety issues and inspire positive change. It’s a great opportunity to check out the latest esafety resources for parents and carers and have a conversation about online safety with your kids.
The Office of the eSafety Commissioner is offering free online safety webinars for parents and carers throughout the week. Their webinar titled, Tech, teens and time online, will cover:
- ideas to ‘Start the chat’ about harmful content, relationships and online
- strategies for addressing common digital parenting challenges
- online wellbeing strategies for teens
- how to get help if things go wrong
It is suitable for parents and carers of young people aged 12-18 years old.
Webinar times:
- 11 February 2020 – 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM (AEDT)
- 12 February 2020 – 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM (AEDT)

At school we will be continuing to educate students about online safety as part of our school's Wellbeing Curriculum.
