Principal's Message 8 October 2021

College branding with text, "Principal's Message 8 October 2021"

Dear families,

Welcome back to Term 4 and the end of what has been a very eventful first week. I hope you all had a lovely Spring break – our students bounced back into Online Learning with enthusiasm this week.

I hope your families are all staying safe and well and coping with what we know has been a challenging time for our school community.

Yesterday the Premier announced that the return to school date has been moved forward to October 25 for Year 7 -10 students.

We’re excited about our return to face-to-face learning and welcoming students and staff back onsite where we know the best learning happens.

Today, I emailed all families a survey specific to our school to help us plan for the return of our students. If you could complete this as soon as possible it would help us greatly.

We will be in touch again at the end of next week with a detailed Return to School plan that outlines all the guidelines specific to our school site.

In the meantime, I have attached the department’s Roadmap to Return Guidelines for Families for you to read.

It is anticipated that our school will return on Level 3 Plus restrictions, but we will confirm this closer to the return date.

Although we look forward to school returning to normal, we are also aware that disruptions in the form of stay-at-home orders, school closures or a return to Level 4 restrictions in certain LGAs may continue to impact on schooling in term 4. We will remain responsive to the latest public health advice and any further changes that occur to the NSW roadmap out of lockdown and keep you updated as often as we can.

I cannot thank our community enough for your support in following Covid guidelines and keeping us all as safe as possible. Thank you for supporting your children with online learning and your kind words of support for our staff.

Warm regards,

Hayley
