Our Year 8 Music students treated Hunter volunteers to an enthusiastic lunchtime performance in celebration of National Volunteer Week (NVW).
This was the group's first public performance this year and they were delighted to have the opportunity to share the series of songs they'd been practising in class.
The performance took place at the Hunter Multicultural Centre at a luncheon hosted by the Hunter Volunteer Centre.
Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteers. From Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd May 2021, NVW provides opportunity for the community to celebrate the significant contribution of Australia’s almost six million volunteers.
Callaghan College Waratah would like to thank all our school volunteers, especially our P&C members, SRE teachers and the coordinators of our weekly Project Bantu Capoeira Angola Program.
