There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.
These include:
uniforms
school books and equipment
excursions
- co-curricular activities.
Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.
For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.
Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
School contributions and charges
Our school values the support of parents as we work together to provide quality educational outcomes for all students. We seek the continued support of parents in contributing to the costs of materials used and consumed by students in the courses they are studying. Our school charges and contributions are set well below the state average and in consultation with the Parents and Citizens Association of this school. Charges and contributions are set in three categories.
General service contribution
These contributions cover items such as:
- duplicating paper
- printing school reports
- textbooks
- stationery
- chemicals
- equipment.
Elective charges
These charges cover the extra costs of elective subjects that are chosen by students and that are above the minimum curriculum requirements. These funds are allocated directly to the subjects and are used to purchase consumable items such as:
- food
- paints
- paper
- wood
- metal
- specialist equipment
- computer memory
- ink cartridges
- or other items that are needed for the subject.
The faculties that set elective charges include:
- Creative and Performing Arts
- Home Economics
- Industrial Arts
- PD/Health/PE
- Computing Studies
- English
- Human Society and it's Environment
