Waratah Campus has a dynamic student voice and leadership program. We provide meaningful opportunities for our students to shape their learning, contribute to decision making and develop their leadership potential.
We have a vibrant and active Student Representative Council, as well as an Aboriginal Student Leadership team and EALD Student Leadership team who enrich our school's culture, contribute to school decision making and provide mentorship across the Callaghan Education Pathway of schools.
Student leadership opportunities
School Captains

Our four School Captains lead our Student Representative Council and are elected into their positions by students and staff. Year 10 students can apply for a School Captain role in term 4 each year and will be required to participate in a intensive leadership program to strengthen their leadership attitudes and skills prior to the election process.
Meet our 2022 School Captains
It is with great pride that we introduce our four School Captains for 2022 - Barirah, Dexter, Paddy and Tesla. These four exceptional students were elected by their teachers and peers and we know they will be excellent ambassadors for our campus and the College.
We asked each of them to share about themselves by answering four questions. Read an abridged version of their responses.
