Year 9 Urban Challenge

We are excited to offer our Year 9 students the opportunity to participate in the The Urban Challenge for their annual camp. In small teams, students will embark on an unfolding adventure through Sydney CBD and surrounds to complete urban-flavoured activities, clue chases and much more! Students will organise their own food and travel as they navigate and negotiate their way across the city. They will learn about teamwork and real life lessons (such as public transport won’t wait for the slow team!), whilst being supervised by a school staff member and guided by an Urban Challenge Guide. They will learn skills and methods in self-sufficiency, leadershp, team responsibility and much more. We will stay in YHA youth hostels and other city group accommodation overnight, enabling students to experience this style of accommodation in a supervised and structured way. Parts of our Challenge are run via our interactive website where teams are required to upload blogs and photos and check-in for their next day’s itinerary. There’s also a Program Page for those at home wanting to see what the teams are up to, allowing you the chance to check out the daily blogs and photos. Camp information will be distributed to families in term 3.
