Technology and online learning

In 2019, Callaghan College was announced the leading Australian school for Best use of Technology in the highly prestigious Australian Education Awards. Our teachers use technology in a balanced way to enhance student learning and skill development.

Our Technology Solutions

Callaghan College participates in the Laptops for learning (BYOD) program. This means that students can bring a laptop (or similar learning device) to school to support their learning.

If students wish to participate in the program, they first need to read, sign and return our school's Laptops to learning (BYOD) User Agreement. Our Technology Team will then assist them to connect their device to the school's wireless network.

Is my device suitable for learning?

  • Most recent operating systems available (with updated security patches)
  • IPads - minimum iOS 15.8.3 (preferrably iOS 17 with 64GB storage (must include keyboard)
