Our values of Excellence, Respect and Responsibility guide how we behave and relate to each other and underpin our Positive Behaviour for Learning framework.
We know that when students are demonstrating excellence, respect and responsibility, learning is enhanced.
Our teachers work with students to help them understand how these values translate into everyday attitudes and behaviours both inside and outside the classroom. When you walk around the school you will see signs providing hints of what behaviours are expected in each area – in the classroom, in the playground, in corridors, in the front office and the various learning spaces around the school.
Our staff recognise and reward all students who demonstrate these positive learning behaviours. This is done through a number of ways, from day to day acknowledgement, to our House Points Challenge and Reward program, through to our annual Callaghan College Presentation Assemblies at the end of the year.
Parents can view positive student acknowledgements from staff on the Parent Portal.
