Are you starting senior learning at Jesmond Senior Campus next year? 

Transitioning to our Jesmond Senior Campus for Year 11 and 12 is an important stage in your learning journey. To assist you to make the best individual choices for this important stage, we have designed a Year 10 to 11 Transition program that is comprehensive in both opportunity and support.

The calendar below outlines the transition events and opportunities available to Year 10 during 2025. For additional information, please visit our Jesmond Senior Campus website.

Term 3 Transition Events

Our Term 3 transition events are designed to familiarise students with our senior learning environment, connect them with teachers, and provide guidance on subject selection and learning pathways.

2025 Transition Calendar

Term 2
Week 7-8 
6 & 13 JUN		 Introduction to senior subjects from Jesmond Faculty Head Teachers.
Week 8  16 JUN Subject Expo Evening at Jesmond Senior Campus, starting in the Auditorium at 4:30pm until 6:30pm  (families welcome).
Week 8-9  
 College Curriculum Proficiency Assessments for students considering advanced courses in English, Mathematics and/or Science.
Week 9-10 Students choose Year 10 taster lessons online for Term 3 Week 4.
TERM 3
Week 3 Special Education Faculty: students practice travelling to Jesmond Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and spend time at Jesmond. 
Week 4 

Taster lessons at Jesmond Senior Campus

  • Waratah Red & Wallsend P Line 11-13 AUG 25
  • Waratah Blue & Wallsend Q Line 13-15 AUG 25
Week 5  Subject selection interviews at Jesmond Senior Campus (individual interview times will be emailed, families welcome)
TERM 4
Week 2 Special Education Faculty Jesmond Senior Campus staff visit Wallsend and Waratah campuses to meet students.
Weeks 5-6 Special Education Faculty: Individual Education Plans finalised.
Week 7  
24 NOV-28 NOV 		 Wellbeing Week at Jesmond Senior Campus for all Year 10
