Principal's Message

Welcome to term 4. I hope you all had a lovely holiday and are ready for another busy and exciting term of learning.

Over the holidays we had many of our students participating in community events and achieving great things. Congratulations to Kulan and Josh for their participation in the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships and to Dexter for his participation in the NSW Youth Parliament as a member of the Justice Committee.

I'd also like to acknowledge Ebony and Zoe who received Making a Difference awards in recognition of their outstanding contribution to Aboriginal Education.

You will obviously have noticed that large amounts of work are still being completed around the school. The new MPC roof is almost completed, so our hall should be back in use by the middle of this term. We look forward to our Presentation Assemblies and regular assemblies being held back in this space soon.

The roof on the main administration building will be replaced over the Christmas holiday period. Work will also begin this term on the refurbishment of our new Special Education - Autism classroom.

Our Drama Theatre is now complete with new curtaining, lighting and sound systems and we’ve completed extensive works in our playground spaces to open them up for more seating.

We are also beginning work on our innovative new learning area at the top of the library. This space will include a tech lab, podcasting studio, a small performance space, a maker space work bench, quiet instruction areas and a display gallery. The design of this new space has been incredibly exciting and we will share some photos of this design in our next newsletter.

This term we have our Campus Swimming Carnival (21 Oct), Year 9 will undertake the Urban Challenge excursion (21-23 Nov), Year 7 will participate in their ”Summer Splash” day excursion to Raging Waters (29 Nov) and Year 10 will begin their extensive transition program to the senior campus.

Keep an eye out for our Week 4 Newsletter and have a wonderful start to Term 4.
